Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been in business, and how many homes have you built?
We’ve been in business since 2003, originally starting as a framing subcontractor building custom homes. Over time, we evolved into a general contractor handling remodels and additions, and now we specialize in designing and building custom homes from the ground up. To date, we’ve completed more than 30 custom homes and bring decades of hands-on experience to every project.
Can you provide references from past clients or examples of completed projects?
Absolutely. We’re proud of our work and encourage you to speak with past clients. We also have a portfolio of completed homes available online in our photo gallery.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are fully licensed, insured, and compliant with all local building regulations and safety standards. Your peace of mind is important to us.
What kind of contract do you use, and how is pricing structured?
We use a cost-plus contract, which means you pay the actual cost of labor and materials plus a builder’s fee. This gives you full transparency into where your money is going, with access to invoices and real-time budget tracking. It also gives you more flexibility in selecting finishes and materials, rather than being limited by a fixed base package.
How do you handle change orders or modifications during the build?
We understand that plans can shift as your home takes shape. If you decide to make a change—like upgrading a finish or adjusting a layout—we’ll talk it through, price it out, and update your budget accordingly. Since we use a cost-plus process, you’ll see exactly how the change impacts your overall cost. We also update your budget projections as we go, so you’re always in the loop and there are no surprises.
How do you communicate during the project, and how often?
You’ll be working directly with Chris and April, we’re your main contacts and manage the entire process together, from design and bidding to final completion. We believe in being completely transparent with our clients and keep you in the loop every step of the way. We’ll coordinate and attend all meetings with you, help guide design decisions, provide regular budget updates, and make sure your banker or financial institution is informed throughout the project. Our goal is to make the process clear, smooth, and collaborative
